Job Overview: RN Progressive Care Unit
We are seeking a skilled and experienced RN to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit. As a travel RN, you will work 12-hour shifts, 3 days a week, for 13 weeks, starting on January 13. You will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and contributing to a dynamic and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Progressive Care Unit.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and other nurses, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients' responses.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including vital signs, medication administration, and progress notes.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, such as identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit or similar setting.
- Licensure: Current RN licensure in the state of Arizona or eligible for licensure.
- Certifications: BLS and national and state certification (or as required).
- Skills: Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: Experience working in a travel or temporary assignment.
- Certifications: Additional certifications, such as CCRN or CPN.
- Skills: Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology.
