Industrial Designer / CAD Modeler Needed for Sculptural Product Prototype (STL)

Apply Now
Hi! I’m designing a small collection of sculptural, stone-inspired ritual objects and am looking for an experienced CAD modeler / industrial designer to help me create a 3D model (STL) for prototyping. This is an early-stage prototype focused on form, proportion, and lid fit — not final manufacturing tolerances. Project Scope • Create a 3D CAD model for one object: a low, circular covered dish (“Daily Well”) • Deliverables: • STL file(s) for 3D printing (body + lid) • Simple geometry (no textures, no branding) • Purpose: 3D print prototype to evaluate scale, feel, and proportions Design Details • Shape: Low, wide circular dish with a flush lift-off lid • Exterior diameter: 4.25 in • Total height (with lid): 2.4 in • Interior diameter: ~3.1 in • Interior depth: ~1.25 in • Lid thickness: ~0.6 in • Soft edge radii (no sharp edges) • Lid should sit flush with the body (no visible seam from side view) I will provide: • Visual mockups / references • Written spec with dimensions • Feedback during the process if needed Experience Desired • Industrial design or product design background • Strong CAD skills (Fusion 360, Rhino, SolidWorks, etc.) • Experience creating STL files for 3D printing • Clean, proportion-driven modeling style Timeline • Ideally completed within 3–5 days Budget • Fixed price preferred • Expected effort: ~1–2 hours • Please include your rate or a quote Looking forward to collaborating!
