They are seeking a Junior Data & Analytics Strategist to automate reporting workflows, analyze paid media performance, and leverage AI tools to enhance client outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain automated workflows using tools like Make, Zapier and N8N to reduce manual reporting and campaign management tasks
- Research, test, and deploy AI tools (e.g., LLM APIs, Claude, Gemini) for use cases such as automated reporting narratives, anomaly detection, and ad copy generation
- Data pipelining and tracking integration for campaign reporting, analysis, and insights
- Perform SQL-based data extraction, transformation, and analysis to surface actionable campaign insights
- Build clear, automated performance dashboards and reports for internal and client-facing use
- Working on SEM / PPC for paid ad platforms including Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Amazon Ads, Google Ads and Google Analytics to build new campaigns, optimize existing campaigns and improve performance for our clients
- Developing positive relationships that reflect true partnership in achieving the objectives of the client’s business
- Reviewing and analyzing campaign performance data (e.g., within Google Analytics (GA4), Salesforce, HubSpot, etc) to develop actionable insights that assist with strategic planning, KPI improvement, and growth
- Collaborating with our Digital Designers to develop creative ads that speak to the clients' brand and audience
- Help to grow startups, scaleups and enterprise clients through clever and strategic digital marketing
- Monitor platform updates to anticipate any potential issues for our clients and share these with the team
- Stay ahead of AI developments in paid media platforms (e.g., Google AI Max, Meta Advantage+) and translate them into actionable client strategies
Skills
- Co-op or relevant work experience with data analytics experience in a technical environment, including SQL-based data extraction and reporting, implementation and debugging of tracking via GA4 and Google Tag Manager, event tagging and discrepancy troubleshooting, and familiarity with APIs, data connectors (e.g., BigQuery, Funnel.io), and basic scripting in Python or JavaScript for automation or analysis
- SQL proficiency for data extraction and reporting (BigQuery, PostgreSQL, or similar)
- Experience working with APIs and data connectors (e.g., BigQuery, Funnel.io, Supermetrics)
- Familiarity with AI/ML tools and a genuine curiosity about applying them to marketing workflows
- Adaptability with a strong desire to continuously learn and develop your skills
- Drive to continuously grow our S+G client roster and team through providing exceptional customer service with a focus on nurturing relationships and proactive problem solving
- An analytical mindset showing accuracy and proficiency with numbers and data, with an ability to build reports and exhibit confidence when presenting findings
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to collaborate on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment with a continued emphasis on project detail
- Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanour and the ability to clearly deliver rationale for strategic approaches
- The ability to accept constructive feedback and apply changes where required
- Critical thinking skills with the capacity to develop unique approaches to problems and projects
- Takes initiative in leveraging continuous learning and resources to keep ahead of industry trends
- Must be eligible to work full-time in Canada
- Co-op experience or hands-on use of LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) for real automation or analysis tasks
- Co-op experience or hands-on experience of paid search, paid social, or SEO
- Working in a fast paced agency environment handling clients from various industries
- Task management/Gantt chart software (e.g. Clickup, Asana, Monday.com)
