Fortune Brands Innovations is an industry-leading home, security and digital products company. They are seeking a PLM Engineer to support and evolve engineering tools and processes for new product development across their global portfolio of brands.
Responsibilities
- Support and enhance PLM and CAD systems (3DExperience, SolidWorks) for a global engineering user base
- Partner with engineering teams to improve product development workflows, data quality, and change management processes
- Configure and maintain PLM workflows, permissions, and engineering change processes
- Troubleshoot CAD and PLM issues, ensuring stable and efficient tool usage
- Assist with PLM data activities such as migrations, upgrades, and system enhancements
- Collaborate with IT, vendors, and engineering stakeholders on system improvements and integrations
- Create documentation, training materials, and best practices to drive user adoption
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or similar)
- Experience using CAD software, with a strong preference for SolidWorks
- Experience working in an engineering, product development, or manufacturing environment
- Ability to understand engineering workflows, BOMs, and change processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity around systems, data, and process improvement
- Effective communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Experience with PLM systems (3DExperience strongly preferred)
- Exposure to engineering change control processes
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Experience with DriveWorks design automation
- Exposure to data migration, system integrations, APIs, or SQL
- Experience with automation, scripting, or low-code platforms
- SolidWorks certifications (CSWA / CSWP / CSWE)
