Red Hat is the world’s leading provider of enterprise open source software solutions, and they are seeking a Market Development Representative 1 to generate new pipeline opportunities. This role involves qualifying leads and collaborating with marketing and sales teams to ensure efficient follow-up and opportunity management.
Responsibilities
- Follow up on inbound marketing-generated leads to uncover customer challenges, qualify opportunities and set up Qualified Meetings with Account teams
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales on routine campaigns to leverage relevant content to follow up on marketing inbound leads
- Implement prescribed prospecting techniques to generate interest in prospective customers
- Develop a basic understanding of Red Hat's technology and product portfolio
- Utilize all systems and tools (Salesforce, Outreach, 6Sense, etc.) to maintain accurate records of activities related to outreach on leads and contacts
- Follow established processes and adhere to published SLAs for all tasks
Skills
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, management, information systems, marketing, communications, or related field of study work experience or academic projects in sales, marketing, or information systems
- Public speaking and presentation skills
- Knowledge of sales techniques and systems like Salesforce.com (SFDC) or Outreach
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Excellent communication, problem solving, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude
- Demonstrated success in previous roles
