Role: PN Tech Consultant IV – Server Platform / HPC Infrastructure Location: Remote Duration: 12 Months (Extendable) Role Summary We are looking for a senior-level Technical Consultant (Level IV) with strong expertise in Server Platforms, HPC (High-Performance Computing), and Infrastructure Management. This role is a client-facing consulting position, where you will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME), supporting complex environments, driving technical solutions, and ensuring high system performance and stability. Key Responsibilities< data-start="788" data-end="840">1. Technical Consulting & Solution Delivery • Work closely with customers and internal teams to understand business and technical requirements • Design and deliver infrastructure solutions aligned with client needs • Act as a trusted technical advisor and ensure high customer satisfaction • Contribute to technical strategy, best practices, and solution improvements < data-start="1183" data-end="1223">2. HPC & Infrastructure Support • Provide support for HPC environments (SGI 8600 compute systems and related infrastructure) • Administer and manage HPCM cluster environments • Monitor system performance, stability, and overall health • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex issues < data-start="1518" data-end="1557">3. Storage & System Operations • Support and coordinate activities for DMF storage environments, including upgrades and monitoring • Ensure system availability and data integrity • Work closely with storage and infrastructure teams < data-start="1775" data-end="1817">4. Hardware & Data Center Support • Perform hardware diagnostics and issue resolution • Support CDU cooling systems (maintenance and troubleshooting) • Coordinate with site administrators to maintain operational stability < data-start="2026" data-end="2068">5. Coordination & Project Support • Support the site administrator in day-to-day operations • Facilitate weekly operational meetings and provide updates • Assist with project coordination activities (PM-related tasks) • Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth execution of deliverables < data-start="2349" data-end="2383">6. Leadership & Expertise • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for server platforms and infrastructure • Provide guidance on complex technical issues • Contribute to process improvements and technical standards • Support pre-sales or proposal activities when needed Required Skills & Experience • 8+ years of IT experience (or 11+ years without a degree) • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred) • Strong experience in server platforms, infrastructure, and HPC environments • Proven ability to work on complex technical problems independently • Experience in customer-facing or consulting roles Preferred Technical Skills • HPE ecosystem tools (Insight Control, iLO, Operations Orchestration) • Emerson Aperture (Data Center Management) • VMware technologies: • vCenter • vMotion • vSphere Cluster management tools (HPCM or similar)Enterprise storage systems (DMF or equivalent)Key Competencies • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Excellent communication and stakeholder management • Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives • Experience handling mission-critical environments
