Job Description:
• Provide expertise in safety and health to help prevent and reduce employee injuries and illnesses
• Support clients and their field management in developing and maintaining effective safety programs across assigned branches and job sites
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (OSHA, DOT, MSHA, EPA) and company policies
• Mitigate risk, reduce losses, and lower overall insurance costs
• Anticipate, identify, and evaluate hazardous conditions and work practices
• Conduct safety program needs assessments to identify deficiencies and recommend preventive and corrective actions
• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
• Implement and evaluate hazard control programs; measure, audit, and assess effectiveness
• Facilitate and document required safety training for employees, supervisors, and temporary workers
• Conduct safety meetings and training programs for client employees
• Assist with branch, facility, field, and job-site safety inspections and observations
• Perform job hazard analyses to identify workplace hazards
• Coach and guide Acrisure and client employees and management on safety compliance and safe work practices
• Assist with compliance efforts related to federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA 1910/1926, DOT, MSHA, EPA, ADA)
• Participate in client safety initiatives, meetings, and programs, including providing customized training as needed
• Collaborate with job-site safety personnel to identify and resolve safety issues
• Investigate and document incidents involving employees, temporary workers, or company property
• Coordinate with Acrisure Claims Advocates and medical providers to support injury management and return-to-work programs
• Support OSHA recordkeeping requirements and safety incentive programs
• Travel and stay overnight as required (up to 50%)
• Be available on-call as needed, unless approved time off has been scheduled
Requirements:
• In-depth safety and loss control knowledge with hands-on field experience
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) with the ability to clearly communicate safety concepts verbally and in writing
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risk and recommend practical solutions
• Ability to prepare clear, formal incident and investigation reports
• Experience reviewing and staying current on OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
• Comfortable working independently, managing changing priorities, and maintaining strong client relationships
• OSHA 500 & 501 Authorized Outreach Trainer (required)
• 5+ years of related experience in Safety and Loss Control
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred)
• Certified Safety and Health Official (CSHO) preferred
