Description:
Guided Care is seeking a full time Verification of Benefits Specialist to join our Case Management team. Verification of Benefits employees provide a thorough and detailed verification of medical, workers' compensation, or auto benefit reports for both primary and secondary payers for managed care patients in the skilled nursing setting.
Key Results Area
• Makes best efforts to learn and understand the full training provided upon onboarding.
• Actively reviews the queue of benefits for open client requests throughout the day.
• Maintains a full understanding of Guided Care software for managing client verification requests.
• Completes an average of 40 verifications per day at 90 days of hire.
• Completes an average of 50 verifications per day after 180 days of hire.
• Maintains an error rate of less than 2 per month after 180 days of hire.
• Continues to improve on caseload maintaining an average of 65+ per day at 365 days of hire.
• Maintains a turn-around of less than 15 minutes per verification requested by the client.
Requirements:
At least 1 year of Benefits verification experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility; prior experience in a Business office within the SNF setting is ideal.
High School Diploma or GED.
• Independent and self-motivated.
• Ability to multi-task engaging in data entry and phone conversation simultaneously.
• Innovative and detail-oriented professional with strong research and organizational skills.
• Thrives in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
• Solid collaborative skills with the team and clients and ability to work remotely and autonomously.
• Strong time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
