Overview
We are a fast-growing national mental performance company working with youth, college, and professional athletes. We host a monthly YouTube Live program called Mind Lab, designed for competitive youth athletes across the country.
We are looking for a high-level production expert to audit, optimize, and elevate our YouTube Live setup.
This is not a basic video editor role. We need someone who understands live streaming systems, production design, viewer psychology, and how to build a premium broadcast experience that feels world-class and engaging.
Scope of Work
We are seeking an expert who can:
Audit our current YouTube Live workflow
Hardware setup (camera, lighting, audio, capture cards, etc.)
Streaming software configuration (OBS, Streamlabs, vMix, Ecamm, etc.)
Scene transitions, overlays, branding, visual hierarchy
Viewer experience and retention factors
Improve Stream Design (Software)
Recommend ideal streaming software stack
Build or refine scene layouts
Recommend design for professional lower thirds, transitions, branded overlays
Optimize for engagement (chat integration, polls, calls to action, visual rhythm)
Improve pacing and production flow
Improve Set Design (Physical Room)
Lighting placement and temperature
Camera angles and framing
Background depth and visual layering
Branding integration
Acoustic considerations
Overall professional aesthetic
Strategic Production Guidance
Improve perceived authority and production value
Recommendations for scaling into a repeatable production system
Guidance on equipment upgrades (if warranted)
Advice on YouTube Live best practices for retention and audience growth

Ideal Candidate
Demonstrated experience running professional YouTube Live broadcasts
Strong understanding of OBS, Streamlabs, vMix, Ecamm, or similar platforms
Background in live event production, streaming, or broadcast design
Experience improving engagement and retention metrics
Ability to think both technically and strategically
